Histopathological and Biochemical Study on the Kidneys of Male Mice Injected Intraperitoneally with Thioacetamide

Thioacetamide (TAA) is a thiono-sulfur containing compound with wide manufacturing application. Humans and animals exposure to TAA may occur in different ways cause nephrotoxicity. So, this study serum creatinine concentration urea, addition renal pathological changes, were examined mice treated TAA/P (100 mg/kg B.W). One hundred twenty male albino (BALB/c) used. They randomly divided into 2 main groups. In the control group 30 fed water only normal pellet.The other TAA-treated of 3 subgroups as follow: 1st (G1) was injectsed for months (injected twice month), while 2nd(G2) 3rd(G3) groups injected 4 6 respectively (single injection monthly). Subsequently, urea measured mice. The changes tissue studied by examiningstained Hematoxylin eosin (H E). results showed significant increase (P<0.05) blood levels all diverse kidney, including degeneration, necrosis, hemorrhage, nephritis, abscess granulomatous lesions due toxicity.
